IET Ghana is a professional institution committed to the promotion of quality engineering and technology practice as a catalyst to national development.
It is with a great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (IET-GH). The ultimate aim of this website is to serve as a pool of information of this august Institution. It will in the long run offer a quick and swift means of accessing the materials relevant to Engineering and Technology. It is a channel for interaction with leadership and other affiliates. With IET-GH website we soar high within our Nation and the Diaspora. It is my fervent hope that members will browse the website and make comments, suggestions and recommendations onto perfection. The door of the Council is open to all and sundry.
The IET Ghana, is a registered Licensed Professional Engineering Body of the Engineering Council, Ghana under the Engineering Council Act 2011, Act 819. The formation of the institution began in 1983 but received its Certificate of Incorporation in 1986 as the Ghana Institution of Technicians Engineers under the Professional Bodies Registration Decree 1973, (NRCD 143).
IET-GH WIE Outreach and education on engineering and technology career pathways are important missions for IET-GH WIE. Members are available to speak to schools, clubs, teachers, and parents about options for girls interested in engineering careers, and ways to get girls interested in engineering and technology so that they consider these fields for their future careers. To date, IET-GH WIE has reached out to over 700 girls in senior high schools offering Science

Upholding ethical standards and best practices, we ensure the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, and safety. Through community engagement, we raise awareness about the vital role of engineering and technology in driving economic growth, social progress, and environmental sustainability. We also actively support and mentor aspiring engineers and technologists, promoting diversity and inclusivity within the profession and nurturing a pipeline of talent for the future.
The Institution of Engineering and Technology Ghana, is a registered Licensed Professional Engineering Body of the Engineering Council, Ghana under the Engineering Council Act 2011, Act 819.
Formation of the institution began in 1983 but received its Certificate of Incorporation in 1986 as the Ghana Institution of of Technicians Engineers under the Professional Bodies Registration Decree 1973, (NRCD 143). It was subsequently gazetted under Certification Number 23.
