ENGR. Wonder Salami DAVOR, F.PE.IET(GH)

Engr. Wonder S. Davor, F.PE, (IET-Gh), is a seasoned engineering practitioner, public sector administrator, and consultant with over two decades of experience in civil, municipal, and construction engineering. He is a PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Ghana, Legon, He also holds MSc in Construction Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Again, he holds BSc in Construction Technology (Civil Engineering option) from KAAF University, and an HND in Building Technology from Accra Technical University. Engr. Davor attended St. Thomas Senior High Technical School after graduating from Edubiase Junior Secondary School Engr. Davor is a Fellow and Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (IET-GH) and a Council Member of the Institution. He has served in several key leadership roles, including Chairman of the Civil Engineering Division, Chairman of the Building Code Committee, and currently serves as President of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana. He has also contributed at the national level through various roles with the Engineering Council of Ghana, the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry, and several statutory and investigative committees. His commitment to professional ethics and excellence in engineering practice has earned him numerous awards, including Best Engineer and Technologist of the Year (2023) by the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry, Most Diligent and Best Head of Department (2022) by the Denkyembour District Assembly, and Best Engineer and Community Service Worker of the Year (2023) by the Diamond Excellence Awards, among others. Professionally, Engr. Davor currently serves as Municipal Engineer and Head of Works for the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly. He has previously held positions as District Engineer for Denkyembour District Assembly, and Municipal Engineer for Kwaebibirem and West Akim Municipal Assemblies within the Local Government Service. In addition to his public service career, he is the Principal Consultant and Managing Director of Contraco Construction Limited, where he provides expertise in project management, contract administration, municipal engineering, and infrastructure delivery. His professional interests include sustainable construction materials, structural design and detailing, bamboo-based composites, and geological and mining engineering. Engr. Davor is widely respected for his technical competence, leadership, and unwavering commitment to professional ethics and national development. Engr Wonder Davor is an ordained Elder of Akwatia SDA Central Church, and an Executive Committee member of Diamond Field Ghana Conference of SDA Engr. Davor is married to Helina Davor with 4- Children.
