The Institution of Engineering and Technology Ghana (IET-GH) and Nnarksup, a Ghanaian technology company building trust infrastructure for project funding and execution, have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening accountability, transparency, and professional oversight in projects funded by Ghanaians abroad.

The partnership seeks to leverage the expertise and professional network of IET-GH members to support the verification, supervision, and execution of projects facilitated through the Nnarksup platform.

Ghana receives billions of dollars annually in remittances from its diaspora community. A significant portion of these funds is invested in construction projects, business ventures, agricultural initiatives, and family development projects. However, many diaspora-funded projects face challenges including lack of transparency, inadequate project monitoring, cost overruns, and incomplete execution.

Nnarksup is addressing this challenge through a milestone-based project governance and controlled disbursement system that enables project owners to track progress, verify completed work, and ensure that funds are released>

Through this partnership, IET-GH members will have opportunities to participate as technical supervisors, project verifiers, consultants, and industry experts within the Nnarksup ecosystem, helping to ensure that projects are executed according to professional and engineering standards.

The collaboration also aims to create opportunities for certified engineers to contribute their expertise to projects across sectors including construction, energy, manufacturing, mining, agriculture, infrastructure development, and technology.

Speaking on the partnership, Derrick Larbi Attrams, Founder and CEO of Nnarksup, noted that trust remains>

“This partnership brings together technology and professional engineering expertise to create stronger accountability systems for projects. By integrating qualified engineers into project verification and monitoring processes, we can help ensure that investments translate into real outcomes and measurable impact.”
